How SMS opt-in works at eVotaré

eVotaré never texts anyone who hasn't asked for it. Consent is explicit, opt-in, and confirmed by a code we send to your phone. Here is the exact flow, screen for screen.

These are the real screens from the eVotaré voter portal and admin enrollment — reproduced here, static and non-functional, so you can see precisely what a person agrees to before we ever send a message.

Enter your mobile number and give consent

The person enters their mobile number and must tick the consent checkbox below the field. The box is unchecked by default and is its own checkbox — separate from any Terms-of-Service acceptance. The Send verification code button stays disabled until the box is checked.

Confirm the 6-digit code we text you

We text a 6-digit verification code to the number provided. The person enters it to prove they control the phone — nothing is enrolled until this code is confirmed.

The code expires in 10 minutes.

Enrollment complete

The number is now enrolled. eVotaré sends a single opt-in confirmation text that spells out how to get help or stop — so the STOP and HELP keywords are known from the very first message.
